Our team at Westcountry Fire Protection recently installed a brand new fire alarm system at the Brixham Heritage Museum. The museum was founded in 1958 and is located in a historic building that was formerly a police station built in 1902. Due to the age of the building, installing a new fire alarm system posed several challenges. However, we worked closely with the museum staff to ensure a safe and reliable system was installed to ensure the safety of visitors and the artefacts found within.
The installation of the new fire alarm system covered various areas of the museum, including the top floor office archive room, the top floor office, the loft above the top floor office, the store atop the stairs in the top floor office, the lobby of the top floor, the top floor landing, the sergeant's landing on the second floor, and various exhibits on the first and ground floor.
These exhibits include the Berry Head Barracks, Livery Collars, William of Orange corridor, Children's room, Churches & Railways, Fishing & Shipbuilding, Brixham Bone Caverns, Fisherman's Cottage, Police Cell, Brixham in WWII corridor, Mayflower room, Baby Cot display, Victorian Living Room display, Schedule of Market Tolls, Farmers Store Room display, and Cobblers Shop display.
With every installation we complete, our team of engineers at Westcountry Fire Protection take great pride in delivering high-quality fire alarm installations that meet all safety standards. We always make sure we work closely with clients to ensure that their specific needs are met, regardless of the challenges posed by the building.
